In 1972, Louis Vasi began his work in the flooring industry while employed with Russ Basterfield Floor Sanding. The company specialized in sanding, refinishing and installing hardwood floors which enabled Lou to gain the needed knowledge in order to excel in the industry.
Lou worked for Russ Basterfield until 1984 when he decided to start a business of his own. With Russ Basterfield's blessing and backing Louis Vasi Floor Sanding was born and couldn't have happened at a better time. It was around that time that hardwood floors made a comeback in the housing market and the company was prepared to handle the task.
